Acceptance of Terms
By using QR Forge, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service. Your use of QR Forge indicates your acceptance of these terms. QR Forge reserves the right to update or change these terms at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the service following the posting of revised Terms of Service means that you accept and agree to the changes. We recommend reviewing these terms periodically to ensure you're aware of any updates. If you disagree with updated terms, you may stop using the service. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes through email or website notices.
Use License
You are granted a non-exclusive license to use QR Forge for generating QR codes. The QR codes you generate are yours to use as you wish, for personal or commercial purposes, subject to the usage guidelines below. You may not: attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or derive source code from any software on QR Forge; remove any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notations; redistribute QR Forge's tools, interface, or service for commercial purposes; or provide competing QR code generation services using QR Forge's code or technology. While you own the QR codes you generate and retain full commercial rights to them, you do not own QR Forge's underlying technology, branding, trademarks, or service infrastructure.
Generated QR Codes Ownership
When you generate a QR code using QR Forge, you own the QR code and its content. You are free to use, modify, print, distribute, or share the QR codes you generate in any way you see fit, for personal or commercial purposes. You are responsible for ensuring that the content you encode in your QR codes doesn't violate anyone's intellectual property rights or other rights. QR Forge imposes no restrictions on the commercial use of QR codes generated through our service. However, you remain liable for any misuse of your QR codes, and QR Forge is not responsible for content you choose to encode.
Disclaimer
The materials on QR Forge are provided on an 'as is' basis without any warranties. QR Forge makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights. QR Forge does not warrant that the materials on the site are accurate, complete, or current. QR Forge does not warrant that access to QR Forge will be uninterrupted or error-free, though we strive to minimize disruptions. You use QR Forge at your own risk. We do not guarantee that QR codes will scan reliably on all devices or in all circumstances, though we work to maintain high standards. We do not warrant that third-party content or links provided through QR Forge are safe or accurate. While we implement security measures, we cannot guarantee protection against all security threats or data breaches. We do not warrant that your use of QR Forge will be error-free or successful for all purposes.
Limitations of Liability
In no event shall QR Forge, its owners, operators, staff, or suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data, lost profits, loss of business opportunity, or business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on QR Forge, even if QR Forge or an authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damages. This applies even if we know such damages are possible. In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion of liability for certain damages, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law, typically the amount you paid for the service (if any). Your only remedy for dissatisfaction with QR Forge is to stop using the service. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.
Usage Guidelines
You agree not to use QR Forge for any unlawful purposes or in any way that violates applicable laws and regulations. Specifically, you shall not use QR Forge to: generate QR codes for phishing, malware distribution, or other malicious purposes intended to deceive or harm others; infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, or trade secrets; create misleading or fraudulent QR codes that misrepresent their destination or purpose; engage in any activity that could compromise the security or integrity of QR Forge, such as attempting to hack, overload, or attack our servers; use the service for spam, harassment, or to send unsolicited communications; distribute sexually explicit, obscene, or defamatory content; distribute content that promotes violence, hatred, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics; engage in fraud, scams, or schemes designed to deceive others; attempt to bypass security measures or access unauthorized areas of QR Forge; violate export controls or sanctions by distributing QR codes that could facilitate illegal activities; or use the service in any manner that damages or interferes with our systems or other users' access to the service. Violations of these guidelines may result in termination of your access to QR Forge and potential legal action.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless QR Forge and its parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, partners, and licensors from any and all claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: your violation of these Terms of Service; your violation of any applicable law or regulation; your violation of the rights of any third party; your use of QR Forge; any content you generate or upload using QR Forge; or any fraudulent, illegal, or harmful activity on your part. This indemnification applies even if we were partly negligent in causing the harm. You are responsible for defending us against claims, and we have the right to control the defense at our expense.
Termination of Access
QR Forge may terminate your access to the service at any time, for any reason, without notice or liability. Reasons for termination may include but are not limited to: violation of these Terms of Service; violation of applicable laws; engaging in malicious, fraudulent, or harmful activity; abuse of the service; or any conduct QR Forge deems inappropriate. Upon termination, all rights granted to you automatically cease. You may also terminate your use of QR Forge at any time by ceasing to access it. No fees or refunds are required upon termination.
External Links and Third Parties
QR Forge may contain links to external websites or third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of external sites. Your use of external links is at your own risk and subject to those websites' terms and conditions. We do not endorse, warrant, or guarantee the quality of external sites or content. QR codes you generate may direct to third-party websites—QR Forge is not responsible for the content or practices of those sites. Use due diligence when scanning unknown QR codes or visiting unknown destinations.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which QR Forge is operated, excluding conflicts of law principles. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction and waive any objections based on improper venue or forum non conveniens. These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and QR Forge regarding your use of the service and supersede any prior agreements, whether written or oral.
